about the restaurant
According to the waitress, the Green Marlin opened last August in the old Outback Steakhouse location. The person behind the Green Marlin is Chef Lou Kolbauer, who is also known for the Chive Restaurant on Royal Palm Pointe. We first assumed from the name that the restaurant was primarily a seafood restaurant, however, we were pleasantly surprised to find an excellent burger menu, pasta dishes, beef, chicken and baskets. We tried this restarant back in December and found the staff very pleasant and accomodating.
We happened to be there on a day where they were hosting an Xmas party with over 100 guests, yet our service was timely, efficient, and courteous. Jackie and I both recommend the Seafood Gumbo, we each had a cup and it was excellent.
